Dear Senior:

Humboldt County has been awarded a grant from the Nevada Fire Chiefs Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant to provide a wildfire preparedness service for senior residents in the County. 

Humboldt County Emergency Management and the Pleasant Senior Center will be coordinating a list of County senior residents who may require property clean-up to develop appropriate defensible space around their home. Humboldt County Emergency Manager will work with local businesses to provide this clean-up for the upcoming wildfire season.

 This service is intended for those seniors over the age of 65 who are not able to clear their property or do not have a family member, friend, or neighbor to help them develop defensible space to reduce the risk of wildfire damage to their home. 

If you wish to be added to the 2025/2026 please read and fill out the attached self-declaration Wildfire Risk Reduction Assistance application form and return it to Pleasant Senior Center or to Humboldt County Emergency Manager at the address below.
